At The Annapolitan Assisted Living, providing the highest quality of care to each resident is our primary mission.
While assisted living services differ greatly from those offered at a skilled nursing facility, sometimes a resident requires only limited skilled nursing or therapy services that they can receive in the comfort of their home at the Annapolitan.
We maintain an association with Bayada Home Health Care to provide these services.
Following are some scenarios in which your doctor may decide to write orders for skilled nursing or physical and occupational therapy at The Annapolitan.
- To continue the progress achieved during inpatient rehabilitation at a skilled nursing facility.
- When directed exercises from a licensed physical or occupational therapist may help prevent or delay deterioration in mobility or dexterity.
- Wound care from an R.N. is needed.
We always want to see the best course of care pursued. Individuals who qualify for Medicare-funded inpatient skilled rehabilitation after a hospital stay should almost always pursue that option, as it is in the interest of their long-term quality of life and immediate needs.
Get Well Sooner
When someone does not qualify for Medicare-funded skilled rehabilitation after a hospital stay (or for those who were kept under ‘observation’), The Annapolitan’s Get Well Sooner respite program can offer a great alternative for more limited therapy services in a supervised and supportive environment.
